Today is Jarrett's Birthday!!!! I can't believe my baby is seven. He was a little bummed that the first day of school was on his birthday, but from the sound of it he had a great day. His request for dinner is hamburgers and chocolate cake. He asked me the other day if I knew how to make a cake. I asked him why and he said, "because if you do I want you to make it not buy it." I'm thinking maybe I need to bake more????

Kortnee's birthday is today!!!!! She is turning 11 years old. I can't believe how grown up she is. We celebrated her birthday as a family on Saturday so Dirk could be home. Her dinner request was dutch oven potatoes and chicken. It was delicious!!!

WOW!!! Where does the time go. Keagan just turned 14 on May 6th. I can't believe the fine young man he has become. On his birthday we all went to Kayla's end of the year dance review. He was lucky enough to be an escort for her (not sure that is where he wanted to spend his birthday.) He was a great sport about it though and looked very handsome all dressed up.

Today is McKayla's sixteenth birthday. I can't believe she is that old. I wonder where the time has gone. I hope she has an amazing day. We let them pick their birthday meal on their birthday. So tonight's dinner menu is Hawaiian haystacks and veggie pizza. She is definitely my vegetable eater.

Our House

At our house over the last couple of weeks:

McKayla has wrecked our car, had her first dance competition, been to lots of basketball game, and had dance practice like crazy. Since it is an old car we are just going to fix it up as little as possible(She now knows what car she gets to drive.) She did really good at her dance competition. They were able to place third in their Military dance. Wilh all their practice hopefully they will have better placing in the competitions to come. She is getting very excited to go to Florida the first of March.

Keagan has had non stop basketball fun. His teams are doing really good. They beat both Madison teams and that always makes us happy. He has been practicing two nights and has games two nights a week. It keeps him and Dirk very busy.

Kortnee is still dancing one night a week and the rest of the time she is annoying the other kids. She loves nothing more than to pester them. She makes life so much fun. She likes hanging out with mom why the boys are at practice. She has been studying her states and reading like a mad women.

Jarrett is trying to reach his read a thon goal. He doesn't really like reading much. He would rather spend his time playing the wii and going to Keagan's practices. We just signed him up for basketball and he will be starting soon.

Crazy & Busy

Keagan is enjoying basketball and it is keeping him very busy. The game this week didn't go as well as he would of liked. He of course played very good. I think he is an awesome defensive player. Keagan, Jarrett and Kortnee have had a bit of the flu bug. I am hoping the rest of us don't get it. McKayla is busy getting dances ready for competitions coming up and trying to earn money for Nationals in Florida. I am so excited about going with her to Florida even though I am totally freaked out about the air plane. Dirk has been working one day a week and I think he is going crazy being on lay off. I think he is ready to get back to work even though we no it will mean he will be gone. Basically things are pretty normal here. Crazy busy is how we seem to like it!!!!
